Night Of Worship & Baptism 2018
This past Tuesday we got to celebrate an incredible semester at Overflow! We had the privilege of baptizing three students, we sang eight songs, and lifted up ONE name- Jesus!
Night Of Worship
We wrapped our 2017 Fall Semester with an amazing Night of Worship. We sang loud, celebrated a baptism, and were pointed to Christ our Savior through it all! See you next year for what we are believing will be another great semester at Overflow!
Friendsgiving 2017
This year we wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving in a really special way… So we gathered for a home cooked meal from some incredible volunteers in our church. After enjoying a meal together, we shared a time to pause and reflect on the things we are thankful for. That overflowed into a special time of acoustic worship in-the-round!
Every Spring Break we send a team of college students to a seminary we partner with in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Each year we have an incredible experience learning more about our team, about Guatemalan culture, and what God is doing in Central America through our ministry partners and- in affect- all over the world! This year was no exception. Check out a video recapping this year’s mission trip filmed by our students, Kenneth Freyer.
Check out this personal invitation for Overflow to come to Passion 2017 from Louie Giglio!

At Overflow we believe that God has called each and every one of us to make an impact in the world. We may forget it, but the truth is we have been given a divine purpose! We have been sent by God to bring hope and truth to a world desperately in need of it- to bring Jesus to a world in need of a Savior! And we do that through our words and our actions.
Together as Overflow we desire to make an impact in our Campus, City, and World! Here is how you can join us:
Campus:
The Overflow Campus Organization (OCO) is a committed team of students who are passionate about seeing Overflow’s mission brought to our college campuses. Simply put, our mission at OCO is reach students to help them walk with God. We would love to have you meet with us weekly as we seek to engage, serve, and connect college students to Christ!
City:
We love Wilmington- so we are committed to making our city better! We have decided that as Overflow, we are going to pour everything we have into making an impact in our city through the Brigade Boys & Girls Club. Brigade is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring, enabling, and empowering children in our city who need us the most! To join us in serving this awesome club, check out the link below!
World:
The Missions team of Port City Church has some pretty amazing opportunities for us to go outside of our comfort zone (and outside of our country), in order to share the hope and truth of Jesus with the world far away from us! If you want to find out how you can make an impact in our world, let us know and we will give you more information about our upcoming summer mission trips!

On November 6th & 7th, Overflow is hosting a gathering that we’re calling “Fall Weekend!” This will be a very intentional time for students to get to know other students better and to be encouraged in their walks with God. There will be food, fire pits, worship, teaching, coffee, community and a lot fun! The focus of this Overflow Weekend is “Life Together”, a look at true Christian community! If you love Overflow and would enjoy experiencing it in a smaller, more intimate environment…you’ll love this!
Here are a few quick details about Fall Weekend:
“I think the role of college students in the mission field is to go. Go where they can make a difference by serving people and loving people. Go and share their faith- the story of God’s work in their lives. I think college students have an endless opportunity to serve on the mission field finding purpose and mission in sharing Christ with the people they come in contact with.” -Clay Everett
Every year, we have the opportunity to go and serve in Guatemala over Spring Break!
On our trip, we will focus on:
During the week we will have the chance love on children in the community while sharing the message of God’s love. We’ll have the chance to hear from and meet some of SETECA’s students and see firsthand how they are ministering to their city. And last but not least, we will grow as a mission team, seeking God in all we do, and hearing how God has worked in our lives personally.
It is an intense week filled with vulnerability, early mornings, and hard work, but it is more than worth it to see God’s love in a new light, share His victorious message, and come away burdened for His people!
We head out on March 5th, 2016, and will arrive back in Wilmington on March 12th. We are so excited about this trip! We would love if you would partner with us praying for our team as we prepare and go to Guatemala this year! Almost all of our spots are now full, but if you are interested or have any questions, please contact Alissa.MacLean@portcitychurch.org.
